	You are heading out on a group hunt and need that special ring NOW! Are you going to try them all on and test them? Most likely, you won't bother and just do without it... unless.... You have a quick and easy way to find the ring.
The solution is to make use of the encruster in Nork. You will find this NPC on the far east end of town, south of gambler and east of bank.
	To use the encruster, put a gem in your character's left hand and the ring (or whatever you are encrusting) in your right hand. Stand on NPC and click her critbox, then click the double heads.
When you double click on the ring or other item, either in hand or in sack, pouch or locker, a description of the item will pop up describing the item as set with a gem.

That is the mechanics of it. Now for the useful part.

You can encrust items with things other than gems. Halloween baskets, pammys, vamp hearts, etc work too.

Keep an eye out for special gems or items to encrust +3 stat rings. Such rings are extremely rare and desrve special treatment. Even things like vamp hearts are not out of the question for encrusting onto such a ring.

Encrusting also useful for amulets, bracers and other gear to both keep different types sorted and to quickly ID your own gear in a multiple DeadPile.

~CAUTION~

Be careful of encrusting quest items such as PHelms, because it can ruin their usefulness.

Encrusting items with things with special properties does not add the property to the item.

You can only encrust things once. The gem or item you try to encrust onto an encrusted item will poof. It is a good idea to check for previous encrusting before attempting it, especially if you are using something special to encrust with.

The embroidery from fun house counts as being encrusted.
